Wall Mounted Fire Alarm Call Points

The fire alarm call point is a fire protection device which you will find mounted on a wall. When it is activated by breaking glass and pressing a button, it makes an alarm sound on the main system. However, all fire alarm call points are not identical, and there are a lot of different options to suit different environments –such as factories, hospitals and schools. There are strict rules about the positioning of fire alarm call points: they have to be placed in designated exit routes. A person must be able to reach their closest call point by travelling no more than 45 metres. An area that has an alarm activation point must be properly lit and free from any obstructions. Even if you already have fire alarm call points fitted, you cannot just forget about them. Once the glass in a call point has been broken, it needs to be replaced. This is straightforward, but a special tool is needed. Fire Alarm companies carry spare alarm point keys when they service your system, and so they can supply you with a replacement if you need one.
