Radio fire alarms have been protecting buildings for almost 20 years.  Dramatic development in computer and mobile phone technology has enabled the radio fire alarm industry to progress with equal success.  For the last decade EDA have been at the forefront of technology, designing and manufacturing radio fire alarms.

Traditionally the advantages associated with radio fire alarms have mainly been utilised in listed buildings where it was impractical to run cables.  Now, the requirements for minimal disruption to occupants, quick installations and a decrease in prices have resulted in different kinds of buildings having radio systems installed in a wide variety of sites throughout the world.

EDA panels are capable of supporting up to 3000 analogue addressable devices accommodating 999 zones.  Using two frequencies as a means for communication, as many as 50 control and booster panels can be networked together ensuring that speed of communication across even the largest system is almost instantaneous.  All systems comply with the relevant sections of BS5839 and EN54.  The products are CE approved and transmitters and receivers are approved to the appropriate DTI specifications.
