We know that it’s not all about just coming in, getting what you want done and leaving again. It’s more about making sure you get the right products and passing on all the correct information that ourselves and the client are responsible for which is outline in the Regulatory Reform Order 2005 especially when it comes to fire safety and fire alarm call points.
Wall Mounted Fire Alarm Call Points
A fire alarm call point is an active fire protection device that is usually mounted on the wall. When activated the call point initiates and alarm on a fire alarm system.
We at RV Fire Systems like to make sure that all industrial buildings and schools have all the information that is needed when it comes to choosing their fire alarm call points and getting them installed.
In its simplest form, the user activates the alarm by pressing between the indicator arrows, this will break the frangible element which completes a circuit – this then sends an alarm to the fire alarm control panel.
Customer Service Second to None
RV Fire Systems employees pride themselves on giving our customers the best possible service around because that is exactly the service we would want ourselves and our friends and family to receive – so why should our customers receive any different?
Once the element within the call point is broken it is necessary to replace it with a new one. this is a very simple process but a special tool/key that come with the call point is needed. Fire Alarm installation companies will often carry their own spares when they attend to service your system.
There are guidelines as to the correct positioning of call points, they need to be located on exit routes. A person should be able to reach a call point within 45 meters. the area should be well lit and free from obstructions of any kind. The call point should also be 1.4 meters off the floor.
